Sales buoyant as we enter year 2

Now several weeks  into year two in new premises, the Village Shop is performing well. Turnover has doubled since we moved premises and sales exceed the same week last year – although tobacco and alcohol  partly explain the difference. Weekly transactions are remaining high, possibly a sign that the customer base is growing compared with the old shop. But we’re not resting on our laurels (an uncomfortable and prickly thought): we’re developing plans for new products and events as we move into spring.
